Default MOT question

i wonder if you guys could hep i have a my87 peugeot 205 gti and it has some rear lights on it that dont have a reversing light.
but has passed 2 previous mots
so do you have to have a reversing light?

or is it a case of if its fitted its tested?

or just slack previous mot testers?

cheers john

If its fitted it tested I would say. I was talking to my dad about it, who is a mechanic, and he said you don't need reversing lights. Some cars have two, some have one.

yep, have to agree with Joey here. My brother in law is an MOT tester and reverse lights are not part of the MOT. MOT testers are only worried about your main lights and you going forward and stopping.

give me 2 mins and will find the web page for you.

cheers

if you look here:

What does a garage look at during an MOT test? : Directgov - Motoring
