the Aircon needs to be recharged mate
You can buy a kit from a good auto factor to recharge the system yourself, or if you have it done professionally, it should cost around £40.

The gas used should be R134

Also, aircon must be used every so often, or else the seals tend to leak, losing the refridgerent.

When I had my Mondeo, I used the Aircon more in the winter than the summer, mainly because it clears the screen so much quicker.

Most manufacturers recommend at least 30mins use a month (every month) to keep things running sweet.

Baz, as you're looking at the engine, on the left hand side there will be 2 small light green covers, one marked L and the other H, meaning Low and High pressure respectively, connect the recharge can to L, follow the instructions to the letter on the refill kit and you can't go wrong

Do you know if this contains the oil needed in the refrigent? If so sounds like a great idea
