Default Good main dealer for new STi

Been to both Colchester, very pushy didnt really get on with the guy (Simon) and then onto Chelmsford, well 45 minutes wandering around and not seen by the guy sitting in this office, spoke to another guy getting his car serviced and told that Andrew and Peter had left and the boss was doing it now, shame as brought 3 before from these guys. Boss just sat in the office with phone glued to his ear, poor show

Just looking for a great dealer now, will travel for a good one

Or have Andrew or Peter gone to another Subaru Dealer

Got a good deal from Sparshatts of Botley (Near Southampton) when I bought mine 3 years ago.

No one local would budge on list price, Sparshatts knocked £1600 off list to match the WhatCar? target price! Well worth the trip to Southampton to collect the car!

Haven't had any problems with Wilson's for servicing, they don't sell new scoobs now though.

Pete told me Andrew had set up on his own selling cars. I didn't know Pete had left, although I knew they were advertising, really nice guy Pete. Days hasn't been the same since Andrew left about a year ago. And I haven't seen many nice used scoobs up there for a while.

Hope you find a dealer you get on with. Personally going JDM next time

JDM could be the way if get same results tomorrow. Shame these places loose great people, dealt once with Andrew and twice with Peter so was going back there to do the same.

Dont come with UK warranty, they are euro Subaru's

Basically UK subaru dealers wont touch them for servicing or any problems you had, it would mean driving to Litchfields for anything, main reason i never went for the cosworth STI they do, sod that driving or low loader drive to Litchfields!!!

THere are a couple of good ones in Surrey, I contacted one about the RB320 and he bent over backwards to help me to get one and sell mine - he was going to sell it through his dealer ship but for me (private) in order for me to make a larger sale margin. The guys name was Luke, I'll try and find out the name of the dealership

Hasn't the euro thing been sorted now, thought as long as you register the car with Subaru UK you'll be fine, well thats what i'm lead to believe anyway

Bought new WRX300 from Proven in Haslemere, Surrey about 18 months ago and got a good deal. Spent ages looking for best price and at the time they were cheapest I could find. Days & Colchester wouldn't budge much on price at all.

I've been back to Proven once for 1k service and was very impressed with their aftersales service although long drive from Essex and I think they may be expensive.

Default new sti

if any help i got a 06 sti last year from motorpoint in derby yup its an import originally bound for cyprus but no difference from uk model except for the pink type uk badges and doesnt have a tracker fitted as standard. i have got a three year warranty from subaru and as long as you have it serviced with genuine subaru parts etc then no problem. i use extreme who are brilliant for the servicing. the car cost 21400 with a cat 1 alarm which is all elephant required for the insurance so a massive saving against the main dealers price, the only drawer back from using people like motorpoint is that they rely on volume sales so you tend to be shipped in and out but for the savings i think its worth it good luck

I dont know mate but the 3 dealers I spoke to all said that they would not touch the European Impreza's and the warranty dont mean crap.

Maybe this is their way of pushing away the opposition but I couldnt afford to take that chance.

£6k is a massive saving but luckily i manage to get mine for £21k after a lot of haggling and a £4k deposit
