Fallen foul to my first ebay FRAUD!
I am soooo f'ing annoyned! Luckily only £20! (some have lost out on £500!) apparently the total is around £20,000
I bought an xbox 360 game on the 22nd Feb whilst he/she had 100% positive feedback and sent prompt payment the day I bought it. I thought it might just have be delayed in the post, so thought nothing of it, only to see what was happening today!
eBay Member Profile for pipseyandsmudge
I sent payment to this name and address
R Smith
8 Ripon Gardens
Redbridge
Essex IG1 3SL
I wouldn't have bought a day later as the feeback would have started coming in!!!!!
No protection from ebay (as I paid via postal order).
Their online support is worse than useless and I see no point in contacting the police.
If there is one lesson here, it is NEVER buy outside of paypal....

the about me page.....
About Me!!
I decided to create an about me page to let you know a bit more about me and what I am all about.
I’m currently a full-time nurse, and sell on eBay as an extra source of money. My husband is a distributer that works with major brands, so can easily source quality items from time to time. We sell a variety of items from DVD’s to vacuum cleaners.
My Helpers (Bless Em')!

My main concern with regard to selling and buying on eBay is that my customers have a good experience, are happy with their purchase and that when I am a buyer I experience the same thing. I am totally in support of eBay’s community minded spirit and feel that is one of the best things about it and to be encouraged. I think it is a great shame that there are eBay users that do not think like this and seem quite happy to abuse eBay.
I am always sourcing new items to sell all the time and selling my own “retail therapy purchases” to good homes!! I aim for 100% customer satisfaction and a reputation for this plus my reliability and honesty. I am totally approachable and will always do my very best to address any concerns my customers (or sellers) have, to their satisfaction. I just ask that they contact me and inform me so that I am able to do so.
Feel free to come and browse, you never know what you might find! :-)
Happy shopping!

Alex,
That road is close to where I grew, it's in a half decent area, although I suspect the property is now empty.
I may go over to see my Mum later, if I do, I'll have a drive past.
Sorry to hear you've been had over, lucky it was for a relatively low amount.
My Cousin was hit for over £300 a while back, that was by a buyer claiming that he had not authorised a Paypal payment. I'm not going to go into the full details at the moment, but the case is being heard in a Small Claims Court shortly.

Cheers Edd
I decided to call the police in the end! I know it is a small sum of money, but it is the principle.
Anyway spoke to a nice guy who said I was the second to call that he had spoken to (the other person sent a larger sum by recorded delivery, luckily for him, the post office still had it , so presume he'll get his money back).
I suppose the only hope I have is if the police go round there and collect the post off the door step.
Had thought of going round myself, but this is an organised crime and don't doubt they will be bigger uglier and a lot more unfriendly than myself
Will see what the police come up with!

Well I am pleasantly suprised by the police's response to this.
I know it is not for the sake of my small sum of money, but I have had 2 calls from the police this morning asking for further information so they can follow it up.
I really hope they catch this person!
£20,000+ isn't a small sum of money for 30 days work!

The address above is probably a scam address if you having trouble with a seller you can request contact details which if your lucky and haven't changed it will be their original address and phone number from when they first registerd

I'm resigned to the fact the money has gone! Still annoyed but that is life.
Filed a non-delivered item with ebay, but will not get anywhere with them as it was a postal order! But thought I'd do it on the off chance!
Only hope is that it is sat on the door step of where I sent it and if the police feel £20k+ is a priority worth a knock/break the door down.
Miss d = really glad you like the exhaust

This is the second time that this very same person has got away with this. Its always the same sort of set up, get some feedback going, set up an About Me page with a picture of the "kids" and then sell a huge amount in a few days and take the money and run.
They were last on Ebay as Mizz Marvelouss. They will no doubt surface again sometime soon so be aware. Sorry you have lost out mate.
