Default Just had the WRX on Engine Advantages Rolling Road!

Just had my totally standard 2004 WRX on the Rollers at Engine Advantages for a before mods run.....
I was shocked to get 246.5BHP at the Flywheel, above what I expected, but at least I know what my gains are as I have the mods done.

Has anyone else experienced this on a standard car?

Take all RR figures with a huge pinch of salt mate.. what matters are your figures before and after mods on the same rollers.

Fair enough.. just good that you realise that as many do not.

Reading that you are having it mapped by Zak it will be nice to see his before and after figures in comparison to that of EA's.

Zak will give you a road load dyno graph from before and after your mapping session.

For example, my first map with Zak on my STI 7 with a stock VF35 showed 310bhp on the laptop, 317 at WRC tech and 323 at Power Engineering all on the same day.

Id say the laptop is far more accurate to giving a true figure. Keep an eye on youre ingear times too.. these will drop substantially with a good remap.

Good luck with your plans.. keep us posted on your results

Mate don't go to zak expecting to repeat those sorts of figures, 246.5bhp on a standard WRX is rolling road flattery.

On Zaks Dyno runs I got 182WHP with MY03 WRXPPP which equates to max of 227.5BHP. Imagine my joy at such a high figure Prodrive rubbish!

Post re-map with my mods (which you can see on 'My Scooby'), got 235 WHP max 293.75BHP

(to calculate BHP I used 25% but actually I am more comfortable with 16% above WHP)

Road testing against RRoads always sparks heated discussion. But for me the former is a better guide of your cars useable power.

And as Frayz says, keep an eye on ingear times mine dropped substantially with Zaks remap.

Good Luck

Stu.

He is very busy mate, but thats because when you go to Mocom, ONLY Zak works on your car.. nobody else.

He does have a big load on at the moment but im sure if you call him he will make time for you
