Default Car Thefts in Stanford

There has been a few cars stolen over the last couple of weeks in the Stanford-le-Hope area. All have had the house broken into in the middle of the night and the keys taken as well as a few personal belongings. I know of an Evo going from Branksome Avenue and last night a Range Rover went from Silverdale (off Branksome). The guy with the Range Rover lives next door to my mother-in-law and was asleep at the time, he even has a dog that didn't wake up. The police believe they are stealing to order and have advised to lock your house doors and windows, and don't keep your keys in view even if they do get in.
My car is now garaged and the other car is on the drive to protect it.

By the way, anyone local know where best to get an MOT done? (Didn't see the point of starting a new thread! )

Its pretty scary stuff! We use to put our car keys in the porch, right by the door but after Wongy loosing his car via a coat hanger thru the letter box, I went out and bought a proper key hook, and put it out of sight!!! I would be heart broken if mine got nicked, so feel for anyone whos pride and joy goes!!!

Alot of cars that are stolen now are "ordered", like my friends next door neighbours who had someone taking pics of their merc!! Luckily they got scared off!!!
