Default I am being grumpy again [I guess its my age]

Scoobynet uses VBulliten software which has a very good Private Messaging system

Check out the FAQ for full explanation of how it works https://www.scoobynet.com/faq.php... titlesonly=0

When you send a PM

The user will

1. Have at the top right of the page a note saying how many unread PM's they have

2. [if enabled] they will get a POP up advising them they have a PM

3. [if enabled] they will get an email advising them they have a PM

PRETTY COMPREHENSIVE IMHO

So guess whats coming next

WHY DO WE NEED SOOOOO MANY THREADS

FAO XYZ

YOU HAVE PM

If I am just being grumpy please ignore

If you agree please don't feel the need to lambast anyone its not aimed at anyone in particular indeed I may have done it one or twice

Just it moves valid threads down the page at an alarming rate and then they need BTTT which in turn only unduly lengthens threads when there is no need

I totally agree with you Phillip.

Everytime I go on here and try and find a thread the only thing you see is FAO drive me MAD. If FAO is needed then PM the person that is what it is there for.

And YES Phillip it is your AGE and YES you are GRUMPY (but we all love you really)

Agree here too.... gets so awkward to find any threads after trolling through ALL the great EVENTS threads...

Saying that maybe we need a better MODERATOR to keep it under control.....

Just had a look through and there aren't that many threads FAO XXX you have pm. Yes there are a couple of threads intended for a particular person which could have been done via pm. But technically the ESC section is for events and most of the threads started here aren't in relation to an event. We're all guilty of it me included. I think what's far worse than the FAO thread are bl00dy corners. The amount of times that i've checked threads that i'm subscribed to just to see that someone has put corner and a copy of the previous post up. fine if you happen to be the next genuine post stick it in the title for a bit of fun. But imo it's bl00dy annoying when all it has is "corner "

rant over, bad day at work, i'll get me coat and bu&&er off down the pub.

Its a pity the thread rating system has been disabled. The actual events threads could have been given Five stars to highlight them amongst the rest of the threads, would have shown up very easily then.
