End of Season Japanese Bash (Official Thread)
Hi Guys & Gals
As many of you are probably aware, Dyney, Krud, Crowman, Buzz and myself are in the process of arranging the meet mentioned in the post below, we are trying to create a meet similar to the Bolney meet that starts the season as a way to end the season. Please read the below item and if you are interested in joining us please add you name either to a list below or go to either of the following websites to register and add your names www.sussexjapclub.com & www.sussexscoobies.co.uk
The trade stands we have confirmed are as follows as well as some to be confirmed:
Road Radio (T-Wells) who will be bringing the Kenwood Fully Iced Imprezza
Riverdale Jap Imports (East Peckham) who wil be bringing 3 cars (1 a very tasty RX7)
Jap Performance Parts (Crawley) Who will be bringing a veritable teasure trove of all Japanese car parts
Subaru (Tunbridge Wells) TBC - To bring the latest Imprezza + 1 other
There are a few more in the offing and the list will be updated as and when we have any details.
It promises to be a good one folks
END OF SEASON JAPANESE BASH
To drop the curtain on another season of car shows & summer meets, we are proud to present the “End of Season Japanese Bash”.
The event will be held at the Huntsman public house In Eridge, East Sussex (On the A26 between Tunbridge Wells & Crowborough) on Saturday 30th September 2006. The day will start at 12.00 midday and go on into the night for those wishing to stay on and enjoy the live music.
The bash will consist of not only various makes of Japanese performance cars but will also feature several trade stands catering for many different tastes. From In Car Entertainment through to specialist Japanese car importers and many items in between. The Huntsman will be laying on BBQ food for purchase during the day as well as a fully stocked outside bar down on the fully covered decking area (just in case it rains).
This “Bash” is open to ALL kinds of Japanese Performance Cars, very much in the same kind of vein as the Bolney meet at the start of the season.
There is more than ample parking at the Huntsman, on the road outside the pub we could fit around 200 cars, there is also parking for around 40 – 50 cars on the pub gardens to the rear of the pub which will be used for a few “Show & Shine” cars (please let us know well in advance if you wish to display your car, so that we can save a space for you) this a non competition thing but we would like to make a centre show piece of various clubs top cars if possible, the remaining spaces will go on a first come basis. On top of this we are trying to secure some more parking in a field opposite the pub. But we do have the option of using an adjacent car park which is only 250yds away from the pub and that will hold another 100+ cars.
Starting at around 6.30pm the band will begin to entertain those who decide to stay on into the night. The Pub will be serving its normal menu in the evening to those wishing to stay and have a fantastic meal.
This meet, like Bolney will be sympathetically policed, but fly bys and general lunacy will not be tolerated at any stage. The road outside the pub is fairly narrow but the A26 Eridge by pass runs about 500yds away, be aware that there are likely to be speed traps at some point in the day on the by-pass.
On the day, there will be a few wildly dressed people walking around with collection buckets, we will be collecting for the Richard Burns Memorial Fund. Please give generously when you see these people.
We are looking to make this an annual event, with your support we can make this something special.

We'll give em a run for there money
Unfortunately, it is the best weekend for all concerned with the set up of this. A bit of a downside, but we have attracted quite a few already. Plus the fact everything is free except the price of your BBQ and a shandy or 2 added to that the fact you don't have to queue in huge amounts of traffic to get in might sway a few of the undecided in our direction.
Next years meet will be planned a lot earlier than this years meet and will take into account all these other factors.
