I'm looking for an AE801 ECU
I'm in no rush, but if any of you hear of an AE801 ecu for sale, at the right price of course (standard item - not mapped) I'd be really grateful if you would let me know.
Even better if you have one knocking around that you no longer want.

LOL, just a couple
Don't want big power, but a few more wouldn't hurt I'm looking for another 10-20bhp to get me where you are now
Good luck with your quest What figure are you aiming for?

Spally - It's a standard ECU for a MY99 car, but it has a slightly different map to my MY00. Literally plug and play. As with mine they can both be mapped, but I don't know if the map is stored on the ECU once done, hence the fact I want a stardard unmolested one.
nmeane - Centre de-cat, BB both H&S and a high flow panel filter. I don't want to remove the down pipe. So the best mod that I can see is upgrading the ECU (pretty cheaply) to the AE801. Should release 15bhp.
I'd be happy with 245bhp

i think once an ecu is mapped it's done. so if you ever want to go back to standard it's best to have a spare ecu. cheaper than getting it mapped back to standard. the only other way round it is to have an ecu that can handle more than one map. hi spec ecu's have this. so that you can run silly figures for short times and then a more sensible map for day to day driving etc.

right i have here, what i assume is the standard ecu off my MY99. You are more than welcome to have a look and if it's what you need, then i am sure we can sort out an ESC mate rate.

You around on Thursday?
The Version number should be at the top of the unit, Just below E3 there will be a number 22611 AE801 (hopefully).

Cheers Spally.
Can you also let me know the reg of your car (first letter) and the Date of registration. As the cover/number is missing I'll need to do a little research to see if it is the one I am after. Pm me the details instead of posting on the thread
