Default Nice day out.....

Whilst you lot are enjoying yourself at the Scoobyball & ‘cos I’ve now got
to work extra late so can’t come up in the evening , I’ve consoled myself
at my desk with sorting out the piccys I took on Friday at the Silverstone
Practice Day.

I went as a guest of Renault, and had to go to their “pick up point” about
12 miles away from the circuit first to get our tickets and goody bags
(Hat, T-Shirt, Radio, Flag, Key Ring & food – quite nice… ) and they has
this Renault car on display – don’t know who’s one it was, but it nice….

Then off to the circuit – Renault T-Shirt taken off and the ESC shirt
went on!

Wandering around, we came across these two……….. Hmmmmmm…

They were watching over this….

Sitting in the stand I took quite a few piccys, but my digital camera isn’t
that good but here are two of the better ones….

But my camera does have a small video function and I did this to get an idea
of the noise!

Great day – pretty hot – nightmare drive home (M25 – say no more…)

Can’t wait for the next one!!

Hi Looie,

Sorry we didn't get to meet up, but it took 30 mins to walk round to that side of the track and by the time we got there it was time to get back for lunch.

Had a great day too, even though we were promised a meet with some drivers and it didn't happen.

Got very close to the cars where we were (Overlooking pit lane) but couldn't see as much track as you. And yes they are fooking loud especially as they were going past us at about 190mph.

Hope you don't mind, but I might hi-jack your thread later to post some of my pics up, rather than start another.

Hi Brian,

Just leaving work and quickly looked at Scoobynety to see your pics.

Your pics look great - at least you got much closer than anything I could do.

I did walk round the rear of the track after the first F1 practice to the bit roughly level with the finish line for a beer (proudly standing in my ESC shirt) watching the Red Devils parachute down, but then I got hungry and wandered off back to the Renault area for some grub.

Yes - they were ***kin loud!!

Hope you enjoyed the M25 on the way home like I did!

M1 crap, M25 even worse (but thankfully we were chauffer driven ).

Left Silverstone at 5, got home at 8:45, left home at 8:55 to go to a wedding reception.
