Default Honest opinion please guys

I have bought the following:

STI8 bonnet
STI8 Front wings
STI8 Front bumper
STI8 Front lights
STI8 Rear Bumper
STI8 Rear lights
STI8 Side Skirts

Now, do i face lift my bug, prob going to cost around another 1K for labour/paint?

Or do i sell the gear as a facelift kit, and spend the money on a nice leather interior and maybe some power mods.

What do you reckon?

Personally....

Dont bother face lifting it, dont bother with leather.

Spend money on power, suspension, brakes, or roll cages. Stuff that actually makes the car better for you, rather than just making it look newer, for the sake of it.

Or save the money and put it towards a new car, or spend it on a track day, beer money for Germany, or a night with 2 lesbo blondes and a pile of green

When I had my scoob I spent money on car cosmetics, looking back it wasn't the best idea

All IMO

Go with the power mods.
Your are trying to make you car look like it is something it's not.

Why not be a sleeper.

Also would anyone have any idea what a fair price would be to ask for the above stuff?

I would think that you have realistically look at selling for at least half what the parts would cost new, obviously taking condition into account.

I would probably sell parts as a job lot, as if you start splitting stuff you may end up with bits and pieces hanging around for ages.

What about trying:

http://www.centralsubaru.co.uk/nuked/

They are a subaru breakers and may take the lot of your hands.

Mark, they are worth no more than £9.27p and a stale sausage roll

................it just so happens I have both of these things!!!

I agree with the above, not sure I would want to buy a car with a totally different front end on it, people may wonder if it's been in a crash!! May have real trouble selling it!

Although I think it looks better IMO, whenever I'm in front of BETTS (normally when he is parked ) his car looks great!

But for the money, you could probably get a FMIC, TD05 18G, ported headers, injectors, fuel pump and a re-map

You wanna get in touch with flat4online (Scott) - FMIC's for the newage which look really nice (and cheeeeeep) and also the STi pink (565cc) injectors and Walbro's!!!

If you have a little knowledge with mechanics, then porting your own headers is fairly simple!!

Re-map should see around 370bhp ish

.............then BIG brakes

I have been told by a couple of people that porting headers to get the most out of them is not as easy as people think.

And yes Brakes are on the list, as is a mortgage to pay for it all

just save your money and buy a new Subaru!!!!

Seriously bud to throw all those parts on or spank shed loads of cash on performance mods is crazy.

You can get awesome awesome deals on New scoobs, and especially the 05 STis ... if you want the number of someone who can give you a damn good deal then let me know and I'll PM it to you.

People spend endless amounts taking a scoob from 240 to 350 and to be honest when you are having a blat with a standard car you'll never ever lose them and/or 1/4 mile times will be only a matter of a second or more different.

In terms of looks, again, sell the STi8 parts and get the cash ... no point making it into one, especially when you can buy one for circa £13k!

All IMO of course

Well TBH, when it was all smashed i hated the car, and wanted something fresh, bought all the bits ready for it.

Got the car back from the bodyshop, stood staring at it for a while then i was again.

I think i may have more luck selling the parts individually than as a kit
