Someone should be able to get a smaller socket and force the locking nut off that way if no way of removing normally, any tyre place will do this. Had it done to one of my cars when same thing happened to me.

Mark,

Have they taken the key or the nuts themselves?

If it's just the key I'd get the locks changed straight away, otherwise you may come back to a Focus (if you're lucky) on bricks.

BTW, they won't get any 'prints from shattered glass

I have noticed the ****'s have nicked the sat nav remote also.

I have had the police round and then SOCO came round....cornelius's business card has been taken away for forensics as they had moved it from the cetre console!!!!

it seem that they were busy last night as a range rover pulled up when i was hoovering up the glass earlier, he had his car done and the sat nav stolen.

Its seems they are after the sat nav's, see here: http://www.essex.police.uk/news/n_co...articleId=1968

the SOCO man said he has done about 6 cars in the last 2 days, all the same

SO WARNING IS, DONT LEAVE ANYTHING THAT MIGHT SUGGEST YOU HAVE A SAT NAV IN THE CAR OR U WILL WAKE IN THE MORNING TO A SIGHT OF CAR GLASS ALL OVER THE PLACE.

WORSE THING IS THAT MOST CAR ALARMS DONT GO OFF WITH A WINDOW BEING SMASHED!!!

Mark,

If you are stuck, a mechanic in Southend I know well, has the 'Snap-on' locking wheel nut removal tool. It undoes locking wheel nuts as if they were any other wheel nut .

+ makes you want to hook your car up to the mains !!!!!!

Nate.

Mark

As you are most probably aware you are able to get replacement parts from www.tomtom.com

Still sucks though mate

Im sure that i heard/ Read the other day that if your actual sat nav unit get's stolen if you notify tom tom the serial number they are able to stop the gps signal transmitting to the unit , so in turn making the unit redundant

Sorry to hear about this mate

on a slightly positive note, when I had my old sierra broken into, they nicked the pioneer stereo, called the police, and they didn't do anything, they didn't even check for prints . At least they seem to be taking this seriously.

I've put a new alarm in my car, and was thinking about leaving out the smash glass sensor, but I think I'm going to keep it in now!!
