Sorry, haven't looked at this for a while.

It's not a skidpan I was just lucky that it was raining on the morning I went. Its part of the driver training course with Andy Walsh at North Weald www.carlimits.com and this is the first corner you are asked to master. It involves you hammering along a tiny slip road and making a 90 degree left hand turn.

First of all you do it at about 60mph which feels slow but as you get closer and closer to the corner your sphincter muscles get tighter and tighter... then you spin. With the techniques he teaches you I was doing it at 90 without spinning lap after lap (but only after my second course and even then only after a few more spins).

Who'd have thought the quickest way through a corner is on the brakes?
