Essex Scooby Crew .. Supporting the Mencap Rally tour 2005 .. Sat 28th May
Been told that this event is really not to be missed , Would really like to support this in numbers
It is on Sat 28th May , But starts a fair way away from Essex, So thinking that going down on the Friday night may be an option , Staying locally so that we are nice & Fresh for the start !!
Camping over on the Sat night is Free @ The Finish, Or back to our local accomadation , So can relax , Talk about the days events , Have 1 or 2 Beers , Then head back home Sun Lunchtime
More about the rally ....
Here
Looking forward to this , Who else wants a fun weekend away ?

5th Edition
Motor Tour
28th May 2005
This year’s event will provide you the opportunity to explore some of the spectacular Countryside, Villages and Scenic Vistas in Somerset, Dorset, and Devon that this event is renown for. All roads will be metalled and non damaging, this year we will provide two routes, the Classic Route for those cars and crews wishing to meander through the lanes, and the Touring Route for those crews wishing to take a more open route. Starting from the Haynes Motor Museum just off the A303 at Sparkford the routes will criss/cross, with all crews meeting up at the designated lunch halt, where you can picnic or enjoy your lunch from the local facilities, and Finish at Lufton Manor, Yeovil.
The entry fee of £35.00 includes Commemorative Rally Plate, Road Book, Traditional Cream Tea, Charity Auction, Awards Ceremony, and after a short intermission, the evenings entertainment, Bar-B-Q and Licensed Bar.
Camping within the venue for those wishing to do so is free, and limited *Campus camping* should you wish to camp in a bedroom, some twin rooms, most singles, bring your own sleeping bag. Breakfast available in the morning.
The Classic Route will cover approximately 110 miles, with the Touring Route covering approximately 135 miles.
November 2004 saw the International Rally crew of Mike Cornwell and ***** Cave (ex works British Leyland navigator celebrating his 50th year in competitive Rallying) present a cheque for £11500.00 to the College Principal as a result of your generosity on the 2004 event.
Working with people with a learning disability, their families and carers.
The Royal Society for Mentally Handicapped Children and Adults.
Registered Charity Number 222377
All for such a great cause as well

starting from the Haynes Motor Museum just off the A303 at Sparkford and they'll be a special 'touring route' available for Scoobs which will criss/cross and have the same lunch stop as the classic cars - so hopefully all the benifits without the problems
Anymore then for a Lovely Weekend ??

The routes criss cross with the Historic cars route as well , All stopping for lunch @ the same place & All ending in the same place
My Plans ..
1. Travel down Fri PM (27th May ) Stay Travellodge Warminster Near start
2. 9pm Sat Morning Start Rally ( Haynes motor museum Warminster )
3. Finish Rally 5pm ( Lufton college Yeovil )
4. Get Rat Arsed
5. Stay in the college Accomadation or in a local Hotel
6. Chill out Sun morning ( With others ) Believe they drive to the coast etc .. Have lunch then all go home
7. The Monday (28th ) Is Bank Holiday
