Default End of my Subaru love affair?

Oh dear! I've been offered 10k for my car. Many of you guys know it and the spec. but at the end of the day, it's nearly twelve and a half years old!
He knocked on the front door and said he'd seen it over the years and as he'd had a WR1 in the past (pre divorce?) he wanted another, but black. I remember talking to him about the car some time back, when he stopped outside the house.
As Subaru don't do anything that rocks my boat now, I'm very seriously considering the new Focus RS but may have to wait a long time for it
Considering the spec and condition do you reckon it's a fair offer?

With the groups permission, I'd still like to meet up at the Rodney!
He agreed to 10.5k so I've actually gone and ordered the Focus It's going to be the summer before I see it so I hope I'm not too old to enjoy it when it finally arrives! That should please Frayz as it'll help keep him in a job for a bit longer
In the meantime, I'll probably be pootling around in a Volvo thing (I've no idea what the model is!) that my son currently uses for work. I know what you're thinking - 'It's about time the old git got something sensible that befits his age'
I've now got a few Scooby bits available such as the STi top mount with the brackets, a spare 18" OZ wheel with virtually new Pzero tyre etc. Any interest give me a PM

Always welcome John. It's not about the cars anyway, it's about the social.

The RS is a superb car, you'll be delighted with it.
Quite a few of my friends have them on order and are due to get theirs in the first batch qtr1 2016.

Wishing you all the very best with it, time to move on.

Fair play John. Everyone has their price and that was a good one. I'd be lieing if I said I wouldn't have done what you have.

Of course you'd be welcome in the new RS.... You understand it'll be parked on the road rather than taking up all the valuable space in the car park for Subaru drivers

I'll pretend to be a Saturday lunch time punter tut, tutting about all the yobbo's lurking in the car park and not spending money in the pub!
The RS is a long way off so you may see me in something pretty awful in the meantime

*phew* Relieved to hear you won't be abandoning us all together John. Can't go losing anyone else
I'll bet you're going to be like a kid at Christmas when you can finally pick up the new one! What colour have you gone for? Nitrous Blue by any chance?

No - My son ordered that colour so I daren't get that! I've gone for another black one and with the black 19" forged wheels, it should look pretty mean!

Can't say I blame you at that price John. Look forward to seeing the new car when it arrives.
