Default Another 'Rough idea of power' question - Sorry!

Looking at getting a remap at Engine Tuner in the very near future. Not expecting massive gains but was wondering 'roughly' what I could expect with decatted 2.5" Prodrive centre section, Prodrive Back box, Prodrive Sport Cat, Decatted up-pipe and 2.5" 3rd Cat delete pipe. Also Cosworth panel filter & Prodrive TMIC hose (<< I know this isn't going to do anything for power but every little helps lol)

I have searched but couldn't really find what I was after.

Thanks for idea's in advance

Chris

Get an upgraded fuel pump and you will see max 280-290bhp due to the limitations of the TD04 setup, injectors, etc.

Subaru Collector 555.

Hi Chris

You should be able to make anything from 270-280bhp(300bhp is rare on TD04,but its possible)

And as above fuel pump I would add too, yours current fuel pump is little bit older and can be tired, its for safety and not power,OE WRX fuel pumps should flow enough for 270-280bhp,but they're usually old and due this as precaution I would replace

Good luck with mapping there

Thanks,Jura

Jura, thank you buddy, will be happy with that tbh, have a rolling road power run thing at ET on the 8th so will have a starting point of where it's at at the moment. Fuel pump I am hoping will be with me Monday and I will fit it Monday evening
Been chatting with Alan and he say's it should be fine when it comes to mapping it too with the current basic breathing mods. Can't wait and hope it will run a little better than it is at the moment. Have a few other things to add before the mapping session but will see where this goes. Thanks again buddy

Hi Chris

You are in good hands with Martyn and Alan@ET,you will see how much you will make on those already mods or even if its worth to map yours car

With those mods I would suspect yours car will be running little richer if you are running decatted exhaust and car hasn't been mapped for those mods, but as you are said, you will see and good luck there

Thanks,Jura

Thanks Buddy, appreciate your input. Been on a run to Exeter today and had boost oscillation again, piped from the turbo to the waste-gate actuator as obviously there's something going on. Suspecting that the over-sized up pipe isn't ideal with my TD04L, pretty sure it's 2.5 to 3" up pipe so paying for a decatted STI up-pipe tomorrow and will get that sorted this week as well as the fuel pump.

Pic of my engine with up-pipe fitted attached

Thanks again buddy

Hi Chris

I would remove this oversized Up pipe and refit STI Up pipe with this(STI) Up pipe you will gain on spool up

Those oversized Up pipe are not good and I would stay clear of them

What power you are made and do you have RR graph?

If yes please can you post?

Thanks,Jura

No power run until this coming Saturday (8th) buddy but will certainly be posting up any graphs I get. The STI up-pipe is being sent to me Tuesday so will get that one this week. Not been right I guess since this pipe went on

Hi Chris

Assume you are bought car with this up pipe,I know those up pipe or seller of those up pipe claims massive gain, but usually they can cause only lag and minor improvement

STI Up pipe will be best and should be better on longer run,if its budget then I would invest to the Harvey Up pipe

Thanks,Jura
