Might have been discussed before but, just bought a turbo 2000 on a x plate. Did a trackday with it last weekend, goes pretty well. Mods is, decat downpipe and centre section, scoobyworld backbox, pink label sti ecu, and pipercross panel filter. Wondering what else i could do without spending massive amounts of money on it. Just bought some kw coilovers for it aswell . Another thing, with mapping a standard ecu on 2000 you have to get ecutek, simtek or apexi. But as i've put the sti ecu in it can i map that ecu now? Or does it have to be ecutek etc? What other things could i do? Fmic? Bigger injectors? Walbro fuel pump? Thanks guys.

 

Put the correct turbo and injectors on to match the ecu. It may not be running very healthy with the wrong ecu slapped in without the other parts its expecting to see.

 

Aahh, i see! Thought it was just a straight replacement without changing anything else. What turbo do i need? Td05?

 

That would depend on what year car the ecu is from. Im not up on classic sti's so havent a clue. But it wont be the td04 from a uk2000.
