Bought a wrx a few days ago. Was told it had a remap which I believe. The boost is at 13 psi. What's the safe max?

 

That, i think if it has the standard TD04 turbo is near on the limit i reckon. 1.3 bar or 13psi is the max you can get out of a TD04.

 

1.3 bar isn't 13psi. Speaking to the guy I bought it from he said it used to run 17psi but I can only seem to get it too 13.....dunno if I have a problem somewhere. Launch control still works. I had the battery off for a week if that helps.

This page is brilliant for early imprezas and standard boost level targets for different ECUs.
I'm no expert on boost but there must be a large number of previous threads on reasons for low boost.

 

1 bar is 14.5 psi bud. 17 psi would have been around 1.2 bar

 

There is reasons for low boost. But mine isn't low its just standard can't find anything on it.

 

Update. Changed dumpvalves and boosting at 15/16 psi. Maybe air leak on other dump valve.
