Not sure if it belongs in this section but thought it may have something to do with the ECU...

I am looking at getting a set of STI clocks for my 2001 WRX but was wondering how I go about matching the mileage up so it's consistent with my current mileage?

Is there anyway it can be done, my current mileage is a little over 100,000 miles but not sure what the new cluster will be although I am sure it will not be this hight. Seems wrong to display the incorrect mileage..

Any ideas guys?

It's not the ECU it is the clock that holds the mileage.

There are companies out there that will adjust the recorded mileage for a our £40 - £50

I looked into this and cheapest I could find was around £150, I didn't bother!

Crickey don't think I will either if that's what it cost . I have read that the information is stored on an 8 pin IC on the back of the dials so may see if it's possible for me to take the original one and fit it on the new set. I use to be an electronics techy so have no problem de-soldering etc
