Default Checking Data Logs After Engine Rebuild

Hello All

I have a 2003 WRX (Blob) with the following mods:

Scorpion Cat back exhaust
Walbro 255
HKS Panel Filter

I had an on the road remap done in April 2013 by a very well known Opensource mapper. The mapper did not spend long on the remap (max 1hr) but said it was straightforward and held boost well.

Three big ends went at the beginning of July . I removed the engine and had a standard rebuild done. It's back in and running but I want to check it is running correctly (no knock etc).

I have got the laptop connected and have Evoscan and Ecu Explorer. I have done a quick log with Evoscan tonight - see link below

https://www.hightail.com/dl?phi_acti...UENYSHpOUjhUQw

I would be really grateful for any advice - quite happy to do more logs if I know what's needed.

Thanks

Adrian

Ideally you need to take a log at WOT from approx. 2000rpm to redline and log the fewest variables you need. There is a lot on your log that is not used or doesn't tell us much.

Here is one of my logs as an example

I'll give it another go with your suggestions.

Good evening

Here is my data log done in 3rd gear from 2000 RPM to 6500 RPM.

https://www.hightail.com/download/bW...Tk1iR0pqQThUQw

Hopefully this is more useful than the last one.

Sorry I'm too scared to redline it as I've only done 750 miles since the rebuild !!

Who can tell me if it's running ok, please?

Thanks

Adrian

Thats a much nicer log than your first one but could really do with some knock feedback numbers though to see if the ecu thinks its seeing some knock.

Does column 'S' in the spreadsheet show knock correction?

It seems to go up to 7.5 is that bad or not, sorry please excuse my ignorance!!

Regards

column S is the knock correction advance which is added to the base ignition. I've not mapped a 2003 WRX but there should be feedback knock correction , fine learning knock correction and IAM (ignition advance multiplier)

With those parameters you can tell if the ECU is seeing knock, never as good as putting some det cans on it but can't do that remotely.

Here is some more info on the Subaru knock control strategy
