Well the standard air-box is a pretty good setup with a good panel filter fitted.....

Open air filters like cones do sound nice but can suffer from heat-soak if you don't have adequate ducting / heat shielding, and in some cases cause you to loose power, so unless you can afford a proper CAI (cold air intake) tailored to your car then id stick with the air box....

But i know exactly what you mean about sound lol!
