ECU Map/Engine warning light
Hi guys! Had my car mapped a while ago now and keep getting the engine warning light coming on, I was told its due to the exhaust temperature increase and that I need some kind of resistor put in to stop it throwing up a fault.
Can anyone tell me which resistor it is that I need please?
Thanks!

Mmm really needs the fault reading. If its egt sensor then i believe it should have been mapped out. Yes a resistor can do the job. But as youve had a map id suggest its done properly. Probably best to get the mapper ti re check it

The mapper told me that is what it needs. It showed up on the fault that it was the exhaust gas temperature. Others said it's a common fault once you have it re-mapped but it was a while ago and I've forgotten which resistor it is I need.

You need a 2k2 resistor across the car side connector, if your sensor is still in there remove it, blank the up pipe, cut the sensor off the lead assembly and solder the resistor onto the leads, insulate well and plug back in.
