Default simtek/alcatek question
how can I tell if a simtek ecu has bin updated to alcatek as I have one and don't want to get it mapped to my car and then have to take the car off the road to have it updated the car it is for is my00 classic.

The chances are that you'd know if it had the update as this is a recent thing, but I'd suggest you contact Alcatec I'm sure they will be able to tell you. Best to get it done before mapping as it needs a map check after updating.

Can ask Alcatek the current status of the ecu if you want..

no the serial number on the board..

the ALS number is for unlocking the ALS in the map
