Default advice on a 2.0 non turbo sport

hi i recently bought a 1996 non turbo sport and was after some advice ..its allready had a after market back box put on it but still has the cat in place .like ive done with most my cars ive bought a pipercross induction kit as i love the noise .i put it on 2day and it seems to run better .but after reading some reviews every one talks about a remap .i can only seem to find these coments about the turbo models .so thought id ask around as im slightly worried im guna kill the engine if i leave it on .any help on this would be great ....cheers

remap is mostly for turbo charged versions, i wouldnt worry on the n/a car.
