subaru 2002 sti engine management light flashing then goes off was out in the car last night and the light started to flash again this time the light stayed on but no code

anyone got a clue

 

Its either a limit warning or misfire warning there are no stored codes with a flashing cel, were you were on wot when it starts ? If your gearbox neutral switch is intermittent whilst driving that could cause this as well.
