Newbie needs advice on engine light

Angry Newbie needs advice on engine light

Had the car 4 weeks no prob's at all (2006 wrx) got it out of the garage yesterday got 100 metres up the road the engine warning light came on.took it and got it checked out no faults found so they reset it all seemed ok no lose of power or any thing, got it out of the garage this morning and it's done the same !help just a bit concerned as its my first scooby

If not already have one, treat yourself and your car to an OBD2 Code Reader. About 20 quid posted from ebay. It will pay for itself the first time you use it and on the next and future cars you own. Using it will be an education if this stuff is all new to you too.

If the MIL light comes on there will be a reason for it.

Just had car fixed ,turned out to be secondary air pump?warrenty job so didn't cost me any think,thanks for the info on the code reader certainly get one for the future but where do you match up the codes to the actual fault?

The reader I got brings it up with code and problem and there plenty of sites with codes on defo with the money
