Have just brought my first Subaru Imperza and it is a 2008 Impreza RS Hatch. Been having problems trying to find a good system which will match as most companies (Xforce/Inivida) do not make cat backs for just the RS only the WRX and STI. Just wondering what other people have done. So far I have a few idea of what to do;

1. Buy the WRX cat back (providing knowing that it won't be an issue with the fitting) My local mech's said they may not be able to alter the pipe if it doesn't fit.
2. Just buy a cannon from Inivida,ect and have the mech's take out the centre and back muffler however I feel this will not sound that good.
3. Hopeful find a company that does the 08 RS HATCH cat back.

they seem to use the same half system/cat back as a normal WRX

the only thing i cannot confirm is the outer diameter but knowing subaru its probably 2.5" also - which if it is the case you can run any WRX or STI cat back system. if you run the STI system you will need to cut your rear valance for the twin exit.

so get yourself under your car and measure you exhaust outer diameter

WRX/STI std exhaust sections are handy picked up 2nd hand to test fit

There is a variation in the part numbers for the centre section so they could well be smaller diameter
