Haven't received dyno graph yet
Just had my car mapped but I'm yet to receive my graph from the road mapping session I had with him. I'm not gonna name names because he's a nice guy and is good at what he does, I not only wanna see it for what my car achieved but also for insurance purposes. Like I said he's good at what he does, he was mapping for a good 3 and a half hours and asked me to test drive it at the end to see what it was like and He done a superb job.

Just over a week mate. That's the thing, it's improved my car massively but I haven't seen a map to see what it's achieved in terms of bhp or toque. I also want it also because the insurance company wants to know what power it's running at to add it to my policy.

Be interesting to see/know how accurate a dyno graph is by just using data logs rather than the rollers.
Will he send you the log files too or just a graph?
Understandable you'll be itching to see a graph and some numbers
Bloody hell your good mate
. How do you do it yourself ? He had wires coming out from everywhere when he mapped mine lol. He told me that they're would be a graph. He said between 290/300 and I'm really interested to see the torque it made aswell because it pulls a lot better.
Maybe that's why it's taking him a little while to send over a graph, I'm assuming it's a different concept to rollers then when road mapping and wanting a dyno graph for the results.
isnt there a rolling road near you that you could pop along to and get a health check/power run on? its only £50 near me. it would also be interesting to see if the graphs match.
He himself wont produce a graph as such, all you do is put the log file generated at the time of mapping into software to generate a rough bhp graph, i suspect he didnt save or keep the log file and doesnt have the data to now input into said software. Hopefully im wrong lol
I would of thought any mapper worth his salt would keep all data log files, they don't take up much room on the laptop and surely would come in handy for any future mapping sessions with repeat customers.

The wires will have been a wideband AFR a knock detector and some det cans which he will wear(headphones) to listed for knock.
Unfortunately as The Rig says its just software generated dyno so it is possible to throw any log file in for a graph.
As JDM_Stig says A proper dyno run on the rollers would be nice
That's right! I was watching him plug it all in.
Like I said though, he's done a good job on it and I'm happy with what he's done and would use him again. Maybe I need to get on a dyno then.

You said he spent a good amount of time on it which is good, and you will get an idea of numbers from the dyno software,if he's a decent honest chap then I see no reason he won't use your data to create a virtual dyno graph for you
If you want to spend another £50 or so for a rolling road graph then that's cool.
I do intend to take mine on the rollers at some point.
He spent a good 3 and a half hours out on the road mapping it, thought he got lost at one point lol.
Yeah he's a good guy, always honest with what he does. Maybe I'm being to impatient!.

Duncan only maps there.
Charlie (the owner) does the power runs.

If he spent a good amount of time on the map and you're happy with his work, aren't you overreacting a bit here, fella? Failing to promptly send out some paperwork surely doesn't warrant being named and shamed on a public forum.
I'm sure he'll send it out. He might have more pressing matters. Or maybe it's in the post. As long as the car's running fine, just be patient, dude!

Your original post suggested that the fact "Dunc" uses Surrey Rolling Road for mapping was a bad thing for Surrey Rolling Road. He uses other rolling roads around the country as well.
What I'm saying is that power runs are not performed by any paticular mapper but the rolling roads staff members.
