Default V3/4 Apexi into a V5/6 car

Hi All,
I have an Apexi mapped to a V3/4 Sti engine with 3 pin ecu. What I want to know is can the engine and gearbox be dropped into a 1999/2000 Uk classic and will the ecu plug straight in. I understand both are 3 connector units but do the v5/6 units have additional sensors or inputs which make this not possible ie MAF etc. Am I correct in thinking it will fit and run in a uk classic 98 / 99 model year with the coil pack in front of the throttle body whereas the v5/6 models have it off set to the passenger side.
Thanks

It wont work as the plugs dont match up to the ecu, you are thinking correct the v5/6 coilpack is offset to the passenger side and v3/4 is mounted in the centre.

Thanks for confirming this I have also found the v5/6 ecu plugs are 4 row high whereas v3/4 are 2 row high.
