Default Map Switch

I have searched this topic and yes I have found a few discussions but the threads all go off at a tangent and never really answer the initial question I have so....

Has anyone changed the boost switch from the rear Demister to a seperate dedicated stand alone switch?

on the standard ecu it has to be a switch that the ecu can see,
in romraider you can choose what switch activates logging, the map switch will be the same,
on after market ecu`s there will be a connection for a separate switch.

Thanks and yes it is currently to the rear screen and was done by AFP with Ecutek. I just want to have a seperate switch that I can simply flick on and off if it that simple of course!

Well, no reason not to wire a different switch to the ECU in place of the rear demister switch; making sure that the the actual demister wiring remains intact of course!

ECU doesn't really need to know about the demister being on...maybe it increases the idle speed a little to make sure the alternator is pumping out enough juice, but doubt it's much of a problem.
