Default Decat and remap

Hi guys. I want to get a decat for my Impreza wrx blob eye. What cats would I need for a mot pass? I currently got the engine management light on for a cat failure but I don't no which one. I want a full decat but got told that after a remap putting a cat back on for the mot would cause problems. Has anyone got any advise for me please.

Cheers Alex

Either find a decat friendly mot place or get a sports cat dp.
Even if you get a full decat and have to put the cat back on just for mot then you should have no problems.

i agree with osett2k2 - if you have a full decat pipe and map for driving around there shouldn't be an issue popping a sports cat in / standard cat in for your test (you could even add a few flanges to make a more easily removable cat section). Obviously don't go horsing around the countryside trying to make the same power as you did with the cat out but certainly to the test centre and home again should give you no bother.
