Just ordered a vague cable? Freessm?
Hi people, just ordered a vag cable and wanted to know if I need to use freessm or rom raider?
It's to try and find an annoying fault which I'm sure some of you have read.
Idle dropping when stopping.
I want to check as many sensors as possible.
A,how do I check certain values and know what they should be.
B,I've never done anything like this before.
Cable is coming tomorrow hopefully.
Any heads up appreciated.
Justin

i'd say romraider is the way to go as well - once connected to the car you'll see a list of all the parameters you can log.
There's nothing in the software to say what's a "normal" reading though, you'll have to research and make your own decisions on what's right and what's funky.
