What to expect after a bugeye remap.
Hi I recently bought a low milage bugeye wrx. The previous owner fitted a full decat exhaust and a powertec induction kit. I have been reading that my ecutek ecu can be remapped. What kind of results can I expect. I'm trying see if it's worth doing without bigger turbo and top mount injectors etc.(My main reason is to have the turbo spool at lower rpm 2k rather than 3k).

check and make sure the uppipe cat has been removed as well, i find a lot of folk say they have a full decat when they mean the have a turbo back exhaust and still have the uppipe cat in place.
If you add a fuel pump, ditch the powertec and go back to a standard airbox with a decent panel filter your mapper and a tank of quality super should be able to get you up to 280hp or thereabouts. The difference in torque is very noticeable as the car really wants to take off from 2500rpm.
