I've got a greddy egt sensor in the headers but no gauge or control box , got the chance to buy the gauge , control box and wiring for £50 , worth doing or not so since I'm using an AFR gauge in the car ?

are you planning on tuning or tracking the car at all? If your not hitting the track or being vicious with the antilag the ECT should be fine for the most part and may not be worth monitoring. If your trying to work on your tune then you can use the ECT gauge to make sure your not running so lean your overheating things.

 

Cheers for the input bud, I'm not tracking the car and no anti lag , it's my everyday car , think it's a waste of a gauge really as you say, it's not being thrashed often so egt should be fine for the most parts I reckon with my AFR reading 11.2 at full chat I don't think I will bother , was just a thought as I the sensor is already in place
