Default Only 403bhp on md321t

Hi, I need some help in reaching 450bhp on my 04 sti wr1. I've been mapped and dyno at 403bhp at 1.6bar of boost using a MD321T billet turbo with all the supporting mods:

Rcm headers
750cc injectors
Fuel lab fpr
Perrin intake
Rcm turbo back exhaust
Japsppeed fmic
Remap jgm

Do I need to run more boost pressure? Any help would be appreciated

Yeah mine needs to be around 4500rpm before she takes off. Does fitting the avcr get round a problem to do with the stock map sensor?

Even with avcr you will struggle to get 450bhp out the md321t on 2.0l im sure theres a thread here about not getting 450 out 2.0l

When I had my 321t mapped Andy F recommended to stay on standard ported headers, mine made 412lbft, and 409bhp, have bought a decat downpipe now so hoping for more.

Have you checked for an exhaust leak?

I have checked for any leaks and seems to be ok, does it look laggy to you?

More suited to a 2.5 tbh I think that's where the numbers seem to hit. Hence the lag and needing more boost to get there

From a guy who chased 450bhp on my last two cars why do you want 450bhp instead of say 420bhp from say sc42

I guess because I've got a 450bhp turbo fitted and I'm making 47bhp less than what it should. I believe it will feel a lot more aggressive with an extra 47bhp.

If they only make around 420 then I might as well fit a smaller 400bhp turbo and have less lag.

If your car was 2.5 you would have the 450bhp

Sc42 will hit 450 with 1.8ish bar and a splash of meth I reckon 470 is achievable.
420 is only a guide but they tend to go more depending on set up.
It's what I'm going to use.

So the md321t billet is a turbo best suited to a 2.5litre, suppose I'll just have to make do till a more fruitier turbo is released

Nah sc46 is more 500+hp turbo IMO (with right spec and meth) slightly laggier than the 42 but still a good unit and will make the 450 easily on pump fuel
