sorry if this has been covered somewhere, new to subarus so thought id ask before i go investigating.

basically a couple of nights ago i was out for a drive and on my boost guege on full boost it usually read 1.5 bar but this time in 4th and 5th gear mainly it was over boosting and the gauge was flashing red and beeping. it hit 2.0 bar at one point... now its doing it more frequently in all gears and just doesnt feel like its pulling as well...


any help would be great sean

 

when your overboosting your pushing the turbo harder so you'll most likely be down on power. I'd start by checking out the vac lines between turbo and boost solenoid or maybe try cleaning the solenoid itself as it could be full of crud.
