Default quick prodrive ecu compatability question

Hi all, after recent research im in a position where I want to buy a prodrive ecu for my my00 uk impreza turbo 2000. after reading a few different conflicting threads I just want to be sure before I get buying and fitting etc.
so...
Are they literally just plug and play items.
And I have found one with these part numbers for sale, will it fit?? if not what do I need to look for.
Its an STI Sp pink sticker 10010 56010 A18-000 DV8 7z26.
the ecu on the car now is a stock green label y7.
manythanks in advance. aaron

The ecu with the numbers you have given is for a v4 97-98 impreza and will have a yellow socket so no good for a v5 impreza.

If you find the correct one (A18-000 DIX) it is indeed plug and play.

The PPP ecu for a v5 is an SP STI 1001056110 A18-000 DIX and has a dark coloured 4 plug socket and is plug and play on an RB5 but not sure about a uk v5.

^^ I can confirm that it is pnp on a uk v5. I fitted mine 10k trouble free miles ago. It's worth pointing out that it has 3 sockets, as there are 3 plugs on the loom. One of the "sockets" on the Prodrive ecu is a blank with no pins.
