Default 450bhp capable injectors

Hi Guys,

Having had Paul Finch forge my 2.5 STi engine and having a mdx555-450 turbo fitted I now need bigger injectors fitted before I have it remapped again (once its run in).

I appreciate my TMIC will hold it back a bit but that will be changed next year.

So what size should I be looking at to achieve 450bhp? I did try googling and searching for a table I remember seeing recently but couldn't find it.

Also any recommendations on supplier, and is getting used injectors a no-no like a used fuel pump seems to be??

Cheers
Dale

We'd supply ASNU 750cc injectors for that level for our customers.
£400 + vat and carriage for the injectors and patch harnesses.

I think Lateral performance can re-flow yours for somewhere in the region of £200. Not sure if it will work for 450bhp but I also believe you can run an after market FPR and this will enable your injectors to flow a little more, your also going to need a 290l fuel pump, there is a group buy on the sward pumps at the moment.

Hi Ditch, I already have an aeromotive 340 fuel pump and I didn't really want to get a FPR, I didn't realise getting mine re-flowed was an option so thanks.

Joe PM me your price please.

Martyn thanks for your reply. If I was to buy new I will certainly consider using you guys.

Hi there

As above Zen performance selling the injectors for good price what I know, but really depends on the budget, you an go with reflowed injectors which are not bad,but still if I would go route again I wouldn't use them again on my car

Next option you can go with Bosch EV14 injectors they're pretty cheap from US,Injector Dynamics or DW(DeatschWerks ) using them (EV14) as their injectors with some modifications

Last option you can go with ID or DW and as above MartynJ ASNU

Hope this help

Thanks,Jura

Thanks Jura and Blue,

Budget wise I'm a tight ar7e and if it wasn't for Infectedbysti I'd still have a completely standard car trying to save 50p on a panel filter. Other than that it's all about VALUE!!!

Are we all agreed that to achieve 450 all I want are 750/800cc's?

Can my standards be re-flowed to those figures?

I really don't ever want to go above 450 and push my luck too much.

Any firms reading this maybe start a GB??

Cheers boys

Default Spare injectors ....

I've a set of ECUTek 800 cc/min injectors bought from a mapper and fitted by Litchfield about 3 years ago, flow tested at ASNU recently ready for putting them up for sale. ( car ran over 376 bhp on std turbo with CAIk / exhaust after mapping at around 60% duty IIRC).
So Should be fine for 450.?

Also got a set of 1000 cc/min Deatswerks fitted by Engine Tuner last year to upgrade from the 800's when the engine was forged / turbo etc. went on. Ran 452 bhp on them.

Both sets for sale.
£225 the set delivered ( for either ONE set of 4 injectors and fittings ) and I'll throw in the adaptor looms for either ( use the cars std injector plug and a patch lead to the different injector socket - no cut and solder needed ).

Rule of thumb, power possible = injector flow x no. injectors x duty /5.5 ( cc/bhp ) e.g. for the ECUTek 800's at 80% duty then power - 800 x 4 x 0.80/5.5 = 465 bhp.

EDIT This was on a 2009 hatch 2.5 STi, I am not sure on fitments to earlier 2.5's .

PM if interested.

Thanks
