Default STD wrx sti for Prodrive ECU

Hi all

i have been looking around ebay today and found an ecu for a sti prodrive 305 bhp. i just wanted to know if i stuck it on my std sti would it make a differances or should i save up a little more and have the std brain turnned at a rolling road?

If you put the prodrive mods to match onto it then it should do what the PPP does usually around 300. Would be worth getting it rolling roaded or similar after to check it.

The ecu will need coding to the car due to the immobiliser.

But a remap on your car custom should see similar power or more depending on mods than ppp

easier, better result and probably cheaper in the long run to get a custom remap from a top mapper.
The Prodrive map is 'generic' whereas a custom map is tweaked to suit the car in whatever state of tune it is in.

Yeah will be better custom mapped

Ppp - sportscat downpipe, prodrive back box, intercooler pipe and fuel pump upgrade from memory.

When you say custom. Do you mean mod my car and then get it tuned and have the mapping done there?
