Default ecu reset problem

i have read that classic imprezas can be reset by connecting plugs under steering wheel , problem is my my2000 sti doesnt have any plugs not in use black or green .

look properly, they are taped up if no one has found them before.

they were there right enough , not easy to get to but managed it ,

no faults found which is a bit disapointing
