Default Would Syvecs be overkill for my car?

I've purchased a SC42+ and plan to have a STI8 short engine fitted up to my heads.

Pretty much all other supporting mods are there and I hope to get 440bhp?

The car will be mainly used for drag and occasional track, I have absolutely no idea on how to use the data logging function, and if I did the data would mean nothing to me.

I would just opt for another map on the existing ecu but would like all the toys to now, ALS, LC mafless etc so will need to change ecu's

Any help or opinions would be appreciated, prices of all options to consider would be a big help as well.

Car is 99 UK classic

Do they do an ESL daughter board for your car or is it just ecutek?

I think if you can afford it syvecs is the daddy.

It's a 99 so currently on standard ecu with Ecutek

My guts telling me to go for the Alkatec and buy some new wheels with the change.

+1,expensive but it all depends really how far you want to take your car to really know if it is a worth while purchase or not,a esl would be my choice around those figures.SJ.

Hi there

From personal experience I would go with Syvecs without the questions,if budget allows

Datalogging is good to have, its not hard to use and if you will be using datalogging, trust me if you will drag the car,you will be datalogging like we are.

This can help you find where you are loosing or where can be the issue, plus if you not happy with something or do you think you have issue somewhere, you simply send datalog to yours mapper and he can send you tweak of map

On track helps too and really is worth to go with Syvecs from other points like great customer service,CANbus,12 maps, flex fuel, awesome knock control etc

Now with Bluetooth module you can simply use yours Android or Apple as yours gauges/Toucan etc

Really depends on yours targets and yours feel, but still I would choose S6

Thanks,Jura

Check out the Link G4+ too. They make a plug in ECU. Impressive stuff, with all the bells and whistles.
Great software too.
