Wiring a 2008 STi engine into a 96 Impreza
After reading around a bunch of forums I've seen a lot a various answers saying that it's hard, but nothing on what exactly is involved.
The project: swapping a 2008 EJ257 into a 96 Impreza, the engine and transmission are in and it's come to wiring. I didn't realize the whole avcs non-avcs problem before, but now it's time to deal with it. I have obviously all the stock wiring and ECU, and the 2008 STi ECU, as well as the 2008 bulkhead harness and the engine harness already on the engine.
I've been told there's no possible way to merge the harnesses because of the avcs non-avcs issue, is that true? Is there some way to make this work with what I have?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
