Hi Guys,

Driving this morning, i went to put my foot down and just as the turbo was about to kick in the car jolted and engine light came on...

It has some bad symptoms aswell, the engine is shaking the whole car, the exhaust seems to have got louder, and when i stopped, was testing the revs and it seems to have a knock at 2k rpm, and obviously the car feels very slow, cant tell if boosting properly as i didnt want to test that far?

I will obviously have to get it into a garage asap but wanted to see what you guys might think it is?

Have you code read it yet ...?
Also could it be a coil pack that has let go ....?

 

No i havent code read it yet, i havent done it before so will need to read up on how to do it when i get a chance.

Slight re-evaluation i dont think there is a knock, i think its the exhaust thats popping slightly as if running too rich, which could also be linked to why its driving so badly.

Yes i think so mate.

Since changing over the spark plug in cylinder 4 the engine light has gone and is driving back to normal.

Just need to replace the rear strut on the passenger side and change the brake pads that are starting to grind for it to be back to a normal state lol
