I need a pair of RA DCCD rear shaft for a classic. Are these shafts specific to this car? ie will std rear shafts not fit?

You'll need a pair of R180 rear shafts. Standard shafts are the R160 and thus too small.
So look for type R shafts and some newage STI shafts too.
