Default Had my rear diff replaced now back end goes far to easy

I had my 52 bugeye recalled to replace rear diff. Now in the wet its a nightmare !

In the wet its terrible, before no problem, now however every time i add power the back end goes way before it should do

Can anyone explain this loss of traction ?

Nope, I can only suggest you take it back to the dealer for them to check it over, but it certainly doesn't sound right...

Have the refitted the wheels back to front (well left to right!) if you have directional tyres?

Wrong rear diff ratio installed??
I would guess not, seeing it's a dealer, but mistakes are made.

Sounds to me like the rear tracking is set to "toe out", perhaps they undid the Lateral Links to allow the removal of the drive shafts instead of releasing the Strut to Hub bolts as they should have done.

it's easier to just undo the big long bolt going through the hub, but then every one is different there is no right or wrong way just different ways.

I agree that there are several ways of releasing the drive shafts, but if you disturb the Lateral Links, you then have to go through the added expense of having the geometry re-set.
