Hi, Are you after BHP ? If so what interior do you have ? Is it black with red inserts, or like a bluey grey colour or different as they range from 240bhp upto 280bhp ?

Having had a look at your scooby it's running as standard 240ps (and a look at the Welcome to the SIDC :: The Subaru Impreza Drivers Club :: SIDC faq)

I was lead to believe with that interior it was a 260bhp as i have previously had a wrx with that interior. The black interior with the red inserts is 240bhp but of course what ive been told and read could be wrong and later/earlier models could be slightly different.

Autos had less power coupled with that it's a wagon which also had less power.
If you're looking at manual saloons then you're right snowy.
Just click on the link i've posted and go to the faq and it has a table of codes.

sarah your engine code (according to sidc) is GF8G58P.
1:Series code G=Impreza S=Forester B=Legacy etc.
2:Body type F=Wagon C=Sedan
3:Engine type 8=2.0L Turbo
4:Year code A=MY93 B=MY94 C=MY95&96 D=MY97 (facelift) E=MY98 F=MY99 G=MY00
5:Number of doors 2=2 door coupe 4=4 door saloon 5=5 door wagon/hatch
6:Model type 8=WRX 7=RA type E=Sti D=Sti Type R & RA
7:Transmission D=5 Speed Manual AWD P=4 Speed Automatic AWD

no they didn't, they are exactly the same mechanically except the early five door UK cars which had TD05's where the early UK four door cars had a TD04…still same output though
