No, don't think that was the reason. That is severe damage and at worst a scruffy flywheel will cause judder not rip something in half like that. Possibly centre disc in the wrong way around or maybe too much HP.
Or possibly a faulty disc in the first place but not an unskimmed flywheel.

All I can say is I had clutch judder that was the end result fitted a 225mm clutch no judder.
And no way was it too much power I can't rev past 4500rpm due to a misfire or det that I can't find

The centre plate is a fuse basically it's designed to be the first thing in the transmission to brake basically to save any major component from breakage I think what you have been doing is launching the car and the clutch is just done what it's designed to do.
What brand clutch out of interest and where did you buy it
