I fitted a Magnex 'straight through' decat between my standard downpipe and Scoobysport rear box on my MY97 and was very pleased with the results. It gave the car a much harder edged roar at higher RPMs, and seemed to allow it to pull a lot more freely, and smoothly towards the red line.
In car noise wasn't increased significantly which was a bonus.
The pipe was a bit fiddly to fit as the downpipe to centre section spring bolts could do with being a bit longer, and I needed to compress the springs a bit to get the nuts on.
I bought the pipe for about £70 from ABP Motorsport back in 2000.
Andrew.

Graham,
I've just recently had a 3" de-cat centre section and 5" tailbox outlet fitted to my MY99. I've got a K&N57i air-filter too.
When it went on the rollers at Powerstation a couple of weeks ago, it got 236bhp and 215lbs/ft. Up 18bhp on standard.
Mine is LOUD, with a capital L O U D !!!!
Cheers,
Squizz.
