front drivers side driveshaft
After noticing a bit of oil under the car, a quick squint saw a split gaiter on the inner joint. The idea was to pack some grease in, and mover the boot up and cable tie in back on. But its a bit cramped, so may have to remove it. Also i notice there is fluid leaking from the gearbox were the same driveshaft goes in, so....
To get the driveshaft out, is it just a quick tug and were all happy?
Is it going to drop the entire oil content out?
Were is the best place online to order a drive shaft/gearbox seal?
Cheers

To get the front shaft out completely you will need to undo and remove the hub nut, then undo the ball joint nut, or remove the bolt and lever the swing arm down to pop the ball joint out (i jack up under the brake disc to push the strut up a fair bit then lever the arm down)
Then you will need to get under the car and punch out the roll pin on the inner cv joint. This passes through the front diff. Iirc its a 6mm punch (might be 5mm)
Then the inner end will just pull off by swinging the hub out. It might need a whack to get the hub end out, if so dont remove the nut all the way and hit that, not the shaft so you dont damage it. And a new nut must be used on refit anyway.
BUT its not so easy to replace the seal in the gearbox as you have to undo the bit that preloads the front diff! I phoned API about getting new seals yesterday and was advised against it! So maybe give them a call!
