Does anyone do a tailored mesh grill for the central opening in the Scooby bumper?

Anyone with a FMIC - did you make your own? Where did you fix it?

The guy making my one of carbon bumper for the 22B, has bought some diamond mesh for mine.

Email him on dazjaye@hotmail.com and I am sure he will tell you from whence it came.

Carnoisseur do various types of mesh, both tarty and practical types but it's quite pricey.

B&Q do aluminium mesh of various styles and hole sizes, which comes in large sheets. It's cheap as well.

Both of these will need to be DIY'd into position. I don't know of any pre cut/shaped kits for scoobys let alone FMIC cars.

I made mine by using a cardboard template first, Blue Peter stylee.

I had someone make one up for me, out of woven 304 steel wire.

Here is a picture of it before i had it powdercoated in black

Can't get hold of the bloke though

I will persist(sp?) though

That looks good Ian, I want to do something similar with mine...

Do you know if the old grill is cut away or is the new one just attached on top of the plastic slats (if so, how)?

Cheers,
Jamie

Hi Jamie,

You can do either, i had it made with fixing points welded (centre top & bottom, and one in each corner). I chose to remove the slats, but it's down to personal choice.

Let me try and get hold of the guy somehow.

Cheers
